
Stuffed apples with prunes
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Baked apples with prunes are not too high in calories and are perfect not only for afternoon snack or dessert, but also for a light dinner. It's advisable to steam the prunes beforehand so they don't turn out too tough. Serve chilled.

Prepare the listed ingredients. You can choose any apple variety according to your taste. It is preferable to buy pitted prunes.

Rinse the prunes in water, place them in a deep bowl or small dish. Pour boiling water over them and let soak for 5–10 minutes.

Wash the apples in water, cut out the core from the top, being careful not to pierce the bottom of the fruits. If the bottom is pierced, the baked juice will leak out.

Squeeze the prunes to remove the liquid and chop into small cubes. Place them into the holes in the apples.

Sprinkle sugar on top, 1 teaspoon per apple. You can add a little vanilla sugar or ground cinnamon to make the dessert more aromatic. Place the stuffed apples on a baking sheet or in a baking dish and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.
