Apple pie made with kefir dough
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. This apple pie is different from others because it's meant to be made with a sour cream topping, which makes the pastry very moist and juicy inside. It's best to use sweet-tart apples, and if needed, add a bit more powdered sugar to the cream. Be sure to add cinnamon—it pairs perfectly with apples and enhances their flavor. If you want a thicker cream, use sour cream with a higher fat content. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
