Apple pie made with yeast-free puff pastry
Description
I don't know about you, but I really love all kinds of pastries made from puff pastry. Puff pastry is tender and light, and very easy to work with. Pie fillings can vary—salty or sweet. Today I want to tell you about it. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

For the filling, it's best to use firm, sweet-sour apple varieties. And if your dough is in the freezer, take it out—let it thaw.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the apples and remove the cores, then slice them thinly.
- 3
Step 3

Melt the butter in a skillet, add the apples, and simmer for 3-4 minutes over relatively high heat.
- 4
Step 4

Add two tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon to the apples, mix and simmer for a few more minutes. The apples should not turn into a puree!
- 5
Step 5

Roll out the dough slightly; it should not be very thin. Cut out a circle to fit the pan size—26-28 cm.
- 6
Step 6

From the remaining dough, form two strips to create even edges for the pie.
- 7
Step 7

Lightly grease the baking pan and place the dough pieces into it. Try to firmly connect the edges with the bottom of the pie. Alternatively, you can roll out a single piece of dough with extra allowance for the edges, then use your hands to smooth and shape the dough, forming the sides.
- 8
Step 8

If you decided to add raisins or other dried fruits to the filling, thoroughly rinse them with warm water and dry them as much as possible. Add the raisins to the apple filling. Then spread the cooled (!!!) filling onto the dough.
- 9
Step 9

Now let's prepare a delicious soufflé filling for the pie. Put the eggs into a small bowl, add vanilla sugar and one tablespoon of regular sugar. Beat well.
- 10
Step 10

Add the cream to the beaten eggs in small portions, continue beating.
- 11
Step 11

Pour the filling with the resulting mass.
- 12
Step 12

And bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
- 13
Step 13

Cut the cooled pie and serve it at the table.
