
Jamie Oliver's Apple Pie
Description
Homemade baking for tea. Store Jamie Oliver's apple pie in a closed container with a lid. It will stay soft for 3–4 days. You can add cinnamon to the filling if desired. The pie is very tasty, soft, fragrant and goes perfectly with tea, coffee, milk or compote. It can be served with tea or coffee.

Put flour and leavening into a bowl.

Add sugar.

Grate the cold butter directly into the bowl with the flour and sugar.

Pour ice-cold water into a bowl and knead a soft dough. Place it in the cold for an hour.

While the dough is chilling, make the filling. Wash the apples, peel them, remove the core and slice them into thin rounds. Place them in a skillet, add butter and sugar.

Cover the skillet with a lid and simmer the apples over medium heat until all the juice evaporates.

Take the dough out of the refrigerator, divide it into two parts. Place one part in a baking pan.

Place the apples on the dough.

Roll out the second portion of the dough into a sheet, then cut it into strips 1.5–2 cm wide. Arrange the strips in a lattice over the apples.

Brush the pie with egg and place it in the oven preheated to 175–180 °C.

Bake the pie for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
