Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Remove the cores from the apples; it is better to leave the peel on.
- 3
Step 3

Grate two apples using a coarse grater.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the other two apples into large pieces.
- 5
Step 5

To make the caramel, pour 2 tbsp of sugar into a pan, add a pinch of cinnamon and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Heat without stirring, only tilting the pan from side to side.
- 6
Step 6

Heat until the sugar begins to take on a brown tint and melts into caramel.
- 7
Step 7

Add the grated apple to the pan and simmer until the apple softens.
- 8
Step 8

Add the apples cut into pieces, add the dried cranberries, and continue to simmer.
- 9
Step 9

Zest one lemon and squeeze out the juice.
- 10
Step 10

Add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the apples; continue to simmer over low heat.
- 11
Step 11

Add flour, brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon to a bowl, add softened butter, and rub everything into crumbs.
- 12
Step 12

Add muesli (or granola) to the dry mixture.
- 13
Step 13

Sprinkle the apples with the dry mixture, and as Gordon Ramsay recommends, keep them on the heat for a few more minutes until the apple juice rises to the surface of the dry mixture. Place in the oven and bake at 200 degrees for 12–14 minutes.
- 14
Step 14

Bake the crumble until golden brown.
- 15
Step 15

Serve the apple crumble with a scoop of ice cream, or you can garnish it with whipped cream. It is a very tasty dessert—and simple and quick besides!
