Apple Crumble
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Everyone who has garden plots knows the problem—there are so many apples in the fall that you don't know what to do with them. I recommend trying the recipe for apple crumble—a very tasty and simple British dessert. As you can see, the ingredients are very basic, and the recipe itself is easy. Yet the result is a delicious, rich dessert with an interesting flavor and unique texture. I highly recommend giving it a try. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Peel the apples and remove the cores, then slice them thinly.
- 2
Step 2

Place the apple slices in a saucepan, sprinkle with cinnamon and three-quarters of the sugar.
- 3
Step 3

Place over medium heat and simmer for half an hour, stirring occasionally. Pay special attention to the apples at the very beginning, before they have released their juice—they may burn. Once the juice is released, the apples will slowly simmer in it and definitely won't burn.
- 4
Step 4

Apples should be simmered until soft, but they should not turn into a puree.
- 5
Step 5

Transfer the apples to the dish in which you will serve the crumble. Let the apples cool down.
- 6
Step 6

Prepare the topping. To do this, mix flour, butter, and the remaining sugar, and rub together with your hands until the texture resembles breadcrumbs.
- 7
Step 7

Sprinkle the apples with the prepared topping and place in an oven preheated to 150 degrees.
- 8
Step 8

Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, then the apple crumble is ready to serve. I serve it with a scoop of ice cream.
