Apple compote
Description
Apple compote is quick to prepare. While cooking, you can easily add other fruits and berries (if you have any left). Apples go very well with blackcurrants and cranberries. It's best to drink the compote cooled, so once it's cooked, leave it covered to cool down to room temperature. Usually, the compote takes about 40–50 minutes to cool. Good luck! Ready to serve.
Instructions

Step 1

Pour water into a saucepan and place on the stove to boil. Meanwhile, cut the apples into slices, removing the cores and stems.

Step 2

When the water boils, add sugar. Approximately 250-350 grams of sugar (depending on how sweet you like it) per 1 liter of water, and stir. Boil the water until the sugar dissolves completely.

Step 3

Then add apples to the pot.

Step 4

If you have fresh or frozen fruits and berries, feel free to add them. In this case, frozen cherries and cranberries were used. Bring everything to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
