Description

The drink is quick and easy to prepare. For this invigorating beverage, choose an aromatic dry or semi-dry white wine and spices to your taste. You can add vanilla sugar or citrus flavoring, various berries such as raspberry, cherry, or strawberry, or fruits like oranges, lemons, and mandarins. The drink is ready to serve.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Instead of an orange, you can use 1-2 tangerines.

    Wash the apples in water, cut them into four parts, and remove the core. Slice the quarters and place them into a saucepan or pot. Pour boiling water over a quarter of a lemon, then slice it and add to the container with the apple slices.

    Pour boiling water over the orange to prevent the essential oils in the peel from releasing bitterness. Slice it and add to the other cut fruits in the pot. It is advisable to remove any seeds from the fruit if present.

    Add granulated sugar. You can also add a little vanilla sugar or any other flavoring to taste. If you want to replace sugar with honey, add it to the glühwein after it has been cooked and cooled down to 35 degrees, as honey should not be boiled.
