Apple Croutons
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I often take the cake out of the oven and get upset because it's dry. Once I had to completely redo the recipe, and that's how this new one came about. Now I'm sharing it with you. It can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Sift the flour and mix it with 200 g of sugar, yeast, 2 g of vanilla, and salt. Slightly warm the milk, mix it with sour cream, and add to the flour.
- 2
Step 2

Knead a stiff dough. Let it sit for about an hour and a half in a warm place, covered with a towel.
- 3
Step 3

While the dough is resting, mix the cottage cheese with cinnamon, remaining sugar, cardamom, egg, semolina, and two grams of vanillin.
- 4
Step 4

Wash the apple, peel it and remove the seeds, then chop it finely.
- 5
Step 5

Knead the dough and divide it into two parts. One should be slightly larger than the other. Grease the baking pan with vegetable oil and sprinkle with a little semolina.
- 6
Step 6

Roll out the smaller portion of the dough, place the apples on it, and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Roll it up into a log. Cut into "flowers" and arrange them in a baking dish.
- 7
Step 7

Roll out the second layer of dough and spread the cottage cheese mixture over it. Roll it up into a log, slice it in the same way as the apple layer, and place the slices on top as well. Flatten the dough evenly.

Step 8

Bake the pie for 40 minutes. Then take it out, cut it into slices, and dry the slices on a baking sheet until they become croutons.
