Apple-carrot puree
Description
Making apple-carrot puree at home is very easy. If you want to treat your child, the ready-made puree can be consumed immediately. But if you're preparing a healthy dessert for the colder season, be sure to sterilize the jars with the finished puree.

Step 1

1. In the past, this treat was prepared using a fine grater, turning the fruit into puree by hand. Today, modern appliances handle this task in just a few minutes. If you prefer to make fruit puree the traditional way or don't have a food processor, use a regular grater. Start by grating the carrots.

2. Do the same with the apple.

Step 3

3. After that, mix both ingredients, add sugar (to taste and optionally), and consume. If you want to prepare the puree for storage, it's better to distribute it into jars, sterilize, and seal.

Step 4

4. You can also do it differently—place the apples and carrots (previously cut into slices) into a food processor and puree until smooth. Then distribute into jars, sterilize for about 5 minutes, and seal.

Step 5

5. Along with apples, you can use carrots, pears, and even broccoli (any of the ingredients). Such purees are usually made for babies as complementary food.
