
Apple galette
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. An apple galette is just as classic a bake as, for example, apple strudel. The apple galette recipe is extremely simple; making it requires no tricky culinary tricks, yet the pie, despite its simplicity, has been hugely popular in many countries around the world for decades now. Well then, let’s make an apple galette ourselves too.

Step 1

Rub the butter into the flour until crumbly. Add the egg, icing sugar, and a little water to the same bowl. Knead the dough.

The dough will turn out approximately like this.

Sauté the apples in butter with sugar added.

Sauté for literally 3–4 minutes, until tender. Then remove from the heat.

Now we make the crumble. Mix equal amounts of flour, sugar, and butter (about 20 g of each). Rub together until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Roll the dough into a circle. You don’t need to roll it thin—roll it out to a diameter where the dough slightly extends beyond the edges of the baking tray. Put the apple filling in the center of the dough.

Fold the edges, sprinkle our crumble on top. Place in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes at 180 degrees.

You can eat it both cold and hot. :)
