Description

Kompot (or uzvar) is a fruit drink or a jelly made from dried fruits, traditionally served on Christmas Eve in many Eastern European countries such as Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and Lithuania. In fact, drinking uzvar is much better than consuming overly sweet, artificial sodas or store-bought juices made from unknown ingredients. Kompot is delicious, simple, and traditional. The drink is ready to serve.

Remove the pot from the heat and let the infusion cool to room temperature. After two or three hours, the infusion will be fully ready and acquire the desired flavor. Simply strain the infusion into a pitcher—and it's ready to serve. :)
