Baked goods with jam
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The sweetness of the cake depends on the jam used. It consists of two layers with a jam filling in between. The top can be grated or cut into pieces of dough. I decorate the cake with powdered sugar, though it can be omitted. The cake is served cooled down—it's much tastier that way.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Knead the dough by hand or using a mixer; the second option is much faster and easier. Cut the butter into the bowl, add sugar, and beat.
- 2
Step 2
Add vanilla extract, salt, and add flour one tablespoon at a time, you may need slightly less.
- 3
Step 3
When the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl, turn off the mixer. Place the dough onto the counter and knead it slightly by hand.
- 4
Step 4
Divide it into 2 parts: one larger than the other. Wrap the smaller half in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for half an hour.
- 5
Step 5
Roll out the second part to the size of the baking tray, but not too thin. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
- 6
Step 6
Take out the dough and place the jam on it, spreading it over the entire base, leaving 1 empty centimeter on each side.
- 7
Step 7
Remove the dough from the freezer and grate it over the jam, spreading the crumbs, then return to the oven for 30 minutes.
- 8
Step 8
Sprinkle the hot pie with powdered sugar, cut into pieces, let cool, and serve.
