
Cheese pastries
Description
The pastry is easy and quick to prepare. Making cheese pastry is very simple. The dough doesn't require proofing, and all ingredients are always on hand. You can optionally add grated cooked sausage to the dough or make flatbreads with any filling. There's plenty of room for creativity. Be sure to try it! Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Mix kefir, salt, sugar, and baking soda.

Mix and add flour.

Add the cheese grated on a coarse grater.

Mix everything with a spoon or spatula, then knead with your hands into a soft, slightly sticky dough. Shape it into a ball, cover with a towel, and let it rest for 10–15 minutes.

Divide the dough into 5-7 parts.

Roll each piece into a flatbread about 5-7 mm thick. Fry in a large amount of vegetable oil.

Pitas cook quite quickly; as soon as they are browned, flip them over.
