
Airy cottage cheese casserole
Description
This incredibly light homemade cottage cheese casserole makes a perfect choice for breakfast or a light dessert. Even children who don't like cottage cheese will happily eat this casserole. Serve it with syrup, honey, berries, or sour cream.

1. Place the cottage cheese and sour cream into a deep bowl. Add sugar to taste. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Add the yolks to the cottage cheese.

2. Add starch (preferably cornstarch) and a pinch of vanillin. Whisk with a whisk or mixer until smooth. You can also add a little semolina to the recipe for making fluffy cottage cheese casserole.

3. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt into a stiff foam.

4. Place the egg whites on the cottage cheese.

5. Gently stir with a spoon in one direction to keep the mixture from losing its fluffiness.
