Cream puffs with custard cream
Description
Homemade baked treats for tea. In the end, I got a light pastry that disappeared from the table in just a couple of minutes. You can find out how to make it. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Thaw the dough. Roll it out into a 5 mm thick layer.
- 2
Step 2

Cut out equal-sized circles from the dough, for example, using a glass. Make holes in the center of half of the circles, as shown in the photo.
- 3
Step 3

Pierce the whole rounds with a fork.
- 4
Step 4

Then brush them with vegetable oil. Place rings with holes on top. Brush them with oil as well.
- 5
Step 5

Bake vol-au-vents at 180 degrees in the oven for half an hour.
- 6
Step 6

Meanwhile, prepare the cream. Mix the egg yolks with flour, vanilla, and sugar.
- 7
Step 7

Pour in the milk and whisk the future cream with a whisk until smooth and uniform in consistency.
- 8
Step 8

Place the resulting mixture over the lowest heat. Cook the cream, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Remove it from the heat when it begins to bubble.
- 9
Step 9

Once the cream has cooled, add the butter to it. Beat the ingredients with a mixer.
- 10
Step 10

Fill the vol-au-vents with pastry cream using a piping bag. Dust with powdered sugar when serving.
