Vol-au-vents with shrimp

Description

Small appetizer baskets made from puff pastry can be filled with various fillings, making the dish a wonderful addition to your holiday table. This tasty, interesting, and attractive snack is very convenient for both guests and the hostess. You can bake these baskets in advance, one or two days before the celebration, and fill them just before serving. I want to tell you about them. They can be served with tea or coffee.

    Thaw the yeast-free puff pastry and lightly roll it out into a sheet. Using glasses of different diameters, cut out circles from the dough. With a smaller glass, cut out the center from half of the circles. This will give us dough rings.

    Boil and peel the shrimp. Peel and mince the garlic using a garlic press. Chop the shrimp, leaving a few large ones whole. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, pour lemon juice over them, add sour cream, and simmer in a pan for a short time.

    Mix the cream cheese with grated ginger, add the prepared shrimp and mustard. If the filling turns out too runny, you can add more cheese. Fill the pastry cups and garnish each with a large shrimp.
