Delicious nut cake
Description
The recipe won't take much time. It's a perfect winter recipe for a delicious nut cake. Many nut cakes have been invented, but this one turns out especially homey and even "cozy." You'll want to enjoy it in a quiet family setting with a cup of tea. By the way, if you can't find maple syrup, substitute honey—it will result in a cake more similar to a honey cake, but just as "cozy" and tasty. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

1. Prepare the ingredients. For the dough, first mix all the dry ingredients—flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract. Add room-temperature butter, cut into pieces, and mix with your hands until the mixture resembles crumbs. Next, add milk, eggs, and maple syrup, and mix until smooth. Finally, add the nuts, then divide the dough into three equal parts.

2. Bake three identical layers for 20 minutes each at 180°C. Prepare the frosting: mix the remaining butter, vanilla, sugar, and maple syrup. Finally, add the whipped cream. It's best to mix the frosting in a mixer, continuously blending as each new ingredient is added. This will result in a perfectly smooth and tender frosting. Spread the frosting over the cooled layers and stack them on top of each other.

Step 3

3. Spread the remaining cream all over the cake. Apply it once, let it dry, then proceed to the next layer. This way, the cream will harden faster and turn into a glossy glaze.

4. Let the cake sit in the refrigerator for a day to soak in the flavors, then decorate with beautiful patterns, and the cake is ready to serve!
