
Delicious semolina cake with kefir
Description
The baking is simple and quick. This delicious semolina cake made with kefir can easily serve as a base for a festive cake—just add a little more by preparing a cream and decorating it more elegantly.

1. Pour semolina into a bowl.

2. Add granulated sugar to the semolina. You can use either one cup or 5 tablespoons of sugar with a small heap. The amount of sugar can be adjusted to your taste. If you use a full cup of sugar, the cake will be quite sweet.

3. Add a pinch of salt and a cup of flour to the dry ingredients. Mix the dry ingredients together, then add the baking powder.

4. Pour 400 ml of kefir into a deep bowl. Add the dry mixture and eggs.

5. Mix everything well. You can simply use a fork. There's no need to use any appliances. Let the dough sit at room temperature for 30–40 minutes. The semolina will swell.

6. Add flavoring and raisins to the dough. Mix again.

7. Grease the baking pan with butter. Place the batter into the pan and smooth it out. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the semolina cake for about 40 minutes at 200°C until done; it will be fully baked after 40–50 minutes, once a golden crust has formed. The cake will slightly rise during baking, but will settle as it cools.
