Instructions

Step 1

1. Add half a teaspoon of salt to 200 ml of hot water and dissolve it.
- 2
Step 2

2. Add 350 grams of flour and start kneading the dough.
- 3
Step 3

3. Turn the dough out onto the table, add about 30 grams of flour onto the table and onto the dough, and knead well by hand. After a while, check with clean, dry hands whether the dough sticks to them. If it does, add a tablespoon of flour and knead the dough again.

Step 4

4. Place the resulting dough into a bowl, sprinkling the bottom of the bowl with flour. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

5. Divide the dough in half, then divide each half into several portions (I ended up with 8 total). Knead each piece of dough with your fingers, as if folding the dough inward to form a small disc. Place the resulting balls into a bowl, dusting them with flour, cover with a towel, and let rest for 10 minutes.

Step 6

6. Generously flour the table and roll out the dough ball in both directions until it becomes very thin. Then take the rolled dough by the edge and, carefully moving your hands along the perimeter, stretch it. Prick the lavash in several places with a fork and place it on a towel.

Step 7

7. Preheat the oven together with the baking sheet to 250 degrees. Carefully place the lavash sheet onto the hot baking sheet and put it into the oven. The lavash will be ready in 2 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

8. In advance, place a dampened terry towel on the table. Put the prepared lavash on it. Lightly moisten both sides of the lavash with water using a silicone brush, then cover it with the towel. Stack the lavash sheets on top of each other, wrap them in the towel, and after half an hour, you can transfer them into a bag.
