Description

Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. You can make several versions of nalishniki: with cottage cheese and herbs, with cottage cheese and vanilla, with cottage cheese and fruits—I'm not even mentioning other fillings! It's best to prepare nalishniki right before serving, as they will taste better, but you can also make them in advance and simply reheat in the microwave or on a skillet. The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.

    1. Crack the chicken eggs one by one into a bowl, then mix everything with a whisk (not a mixer).

    2. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla, mix well.

    3. Take milk and water at room temperature, pour both liquids into the eggs, and mix.

    4. Sift the flour in advance and add it to the liquid ingredients, mix until no lumps remain.

    5. The dough should be smooth and lump-free. Set it aside for about 30–60 minutes, then pour in the sunflower oil and mix well.

    6. Heat a frying pan well with vegetable oil, pour the batter with a ladle, fry for about 1 minute on each side, then transfer the pancakes onto a plate.

    7. While the pancakes are cooling, prepare the filling: place the cottage cheese in a container, mash it with a fork, then add some sugar and sour cream.
