
Tasty bagels
Description
Homemade treats for tea. You'll get two different types of bagels at once. Some I'll make with cinnamon and raisins, while others I'll leave plain so that everyone can choose their favorite. If desired, you can make even more varieties, for example, topping them with sesame seeds, adding nuts to the dough, and so on. Serve the bagels for breakfast or afternoon snack, and enjoy them with tea at any time. Serve warm or cooled. Perfect with tea.

1. In a bowl, mix warm water, honey or sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foam appears.

2. In another bowl, combine 2 cups of flour with salt.

3. Add the foamy yeast mixture to the bowl with the flour mixture.

4. Gradually add flour until the dough comes together into a single mass, then transfer it to the table and knead for about 8 minutes.

5. Divide the dough into 2 parts. Set one aside, and with the other, knead by hand into a small flat cake, sprinkle with cinnamon, and add raisins.

6. Cover the dough so that the cinnamon and raisins are inside, then flatten the dough.

7. Shape both types of dough into balls and let them rest at room temperature for 45–60 minutes.

8. Shape each ball into an elongated form and cut into 4-6 pieces, depending on how evenly you divided the dough.

9. Roll each piece into a ball, then take it in your hand and press the center with your thumb and index finger to mark the spot for the hole.

10. Carefully stretch the small hole to make it larger.

11. Place the bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

12. Let the dough rest for another 45-60 minutes to allow it to rise.

13. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan, then add the bagels and cook for 1 minute.

14. Transfer the bagels to a rack first to let all the water drain off.

15. Return the bagels to the parchment paper and place them in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 30 minutes.
