Delicious cottage cheese dough
Description
Homemade baked treats for tea. I usually eat cottage cheese plain, maybe with a few berries added. But I really liked my grandmother's cottage cheese cookies, so I decided to make dough using cottage cheese. To prepare delicious cottage cheese dough, you can use store-bought or homemade cottage cheese—it doesn't matter. However, if the cottage cheese is too dry, add more sour cream or butter. If the cottage cheese is fatty, you can use less butter. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients. I recommend adding softened butter (or at least at room temperature) to the cottage cheese. Mix thoroughly until smooth; small cottage cheese lumps may remain, which is normal. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Then dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough very thinly, to one centimeter or even half a centimeter.
- 4
Step 4

Using a glass or cookie cutters, cut out circles and use a fork to make marks resembling chicken feet.
- 5
Step 5

Then fold the rings in half twice, as shown in the photo. Do not press too hard; let the cookies remain airy.

Step 6

You can bake or fry cookies made from cottage cheese dough. In the latter case, heat a pan with vegetable oil and fry the cookies over medium heat (or even slightly below medium) under a closed lid for about 7–10 minutes on each side.

The finished golden-brown cookies made from delicious cottage cheese dough are tasty both cold and hot.
