Description

Do you love sweets? For example, I often bake and adore sweet pastries and little cakes. But the most delicious treat is "potato" cake! And my favorite recipe is the classic one. Check out the recipe. Serve it warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

    Prepare the ingredients for the pastries. Leave the butter at room temperature so it becomes soft by the time you make the cream.

    Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the whites until stiff peaks form, then add half of the sugar and beat again. Add the remaining half of the sugar to the yolks and beat the mixture until it lightens in color. You can add vanilla sugar to the yolks while beating.

    Combine both masses and mix with a spatula; a mixer is not needed at this stage.

    Add the flour in parts, carefully mixing the airy mixture.

    Line a baking pan with parchment paper and pour in the batter. Bake in the oven for 12–15 minutes at 200 degrees.

    Cool the finished biscuit and refrigerate for 2 hours.

    Mix 95 g of powdered sugar and butter with a mixer. The mixture should become fluffy and creamy. Add brandy and condensed milk, and beat for another few minutes.

    Break the cooled cake into pieces and place them in the grinder bowl, then run the appliance for a couple of minutes.

    Put the resulting biscuit crumbs into the butter cream. Mix well.

    Shape oval pastries by hand, 60 g each.

    Sift cocoa and powdered sugar (70g), mix well.

    Such breading will make the pastry resemble potatoes.

    Coat each pastry on all sides, repeating the procedure two to three times.

    The pastries are ready. But to make them even more resemble potatoes, you should make indentations and place "eyes" made of whipped cream or meringue cream into them. You can also leave them as is—the pastries are already very tasty and almost ready to eat.
