Homemade winter preserve. The recipe for making cabbage with mushrooms for winter at home is very simple. You can always vary the classic winter cabbage-with-mushrooms recipe by adding other vegetables, such as peppers and eggplants. Jars keep for up to a year in a cool place.

Boil the saffron milk caps in lightly salted water. If you decide to substitute button mushrooms for saffron milk caps, you can fry them right away. Pour vegetable oil into a deep skillet; when the skillet is hot, add the onion and mushrooms (if using saffron milk caps, you do not need to cut them, but button mushrooms are better chopped a little).
