
Cherry pudding
Description
It's hard to resist this airy dessert. Use canned cherries in thick syrup for its preparation.

1. Finely chop the pecans. Drain the cherries and set aside the syrup. Preheat the oven to 145 degrees. Grease the baking pan well with butter.

2. Beat the sugar and butter. Add the egg and mix well. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, then add the milk to the bowl. Add the cherries and chopped nuts and gently mix.

3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and carefully smooth the surface. Bake for 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown.

4. While the pie is baking, prepare the sauce. To do this, mix cherry syrup, sugar, and flour in a small saucepan. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until thickened. Remove the sauce from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of butter and vanilla.

5. Pour 1/3 of the sauce over the finished pie. Let it stand for 10 minutes before serving, allowing the pie to absorb the sauce. Garnish the pudding with whipped cream and serve.
