Wine from berries
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Keep in mind that the ingredient ratio should always be: 1 part sugar, 1.5 parts water, 1.5 parts berries. The strength of this wine is about 16–18°C. It's best to store the drink in a dark place, such as a cellar, but no longer than a year, as the wine's taste deteriorates afterward. Good luck!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems.
- 2
Step 2

Mix water with sugar. Bring the syrup to a boil, then cool.
- 3
Step 3

Mash the strawberries with a spoon or fork and place them into clean glass jars. Pour syrup over them, leaving the top 1/5 of the jar empty. Stir the mixture and let it ferment at a temperature of 15–20°C. To prevent mold growth on the berries, stir them several times a day with a wooden spoon.

Step 4

After 7 days, strain the juice, separating it from the solids. Pour the liquid into clean bottles or jars.
- 5
Step 5

Seal the wine containers tightly with lids or corks. Make a hole in the center of each lid and insert a piece of rubber tubing. Place the free end of the tube into a container filled with clean water. After just 5 weeks, all the sediment will have settled out of the wine, and it will become noticeably clearer. Then, transfer it again into clean bottles and seal them. After 2 months, the wine will be ready to drink.

Step 6

The finished wine should be stored at a temperature of 8-12°C for no more than 12 months.
