Wine from old jam
Description
The recipe won't take much time. 1. The process is certainly lengthy, but actually quite simple. First, prepare the necessary container—in this case, a 3-liter jar is sufficient. Wash it thoroughly, sterilize, and dry. 2. Put the jam into the jar and pour water over it. 3. To initiate fermentation, raisins are used in the recipe for making wine from old jam. Add them directly, in their dry form, into the jar. 4. The first stage: the jar should stand covered with a plastic lid in a dark place, protected from sunlight, for about 10 days. 5. Then, fold a clean piece of gauze into several layers and strain the wine to remove the sediment. 6. Wash the jar again, sterilize it, and let it dry. Pour the strained wine back into the jar. 7. For this simple recipe of wine from old jam, you can use an ordinary medical glove, previously pierced with a small hole using a needle. 8. Place the glove over the top of the jar and secure it around the neck with a rubber band. The jar should stand like this for at least 35–38 days. The glove should completely deflate. 9. At this stage, the homemade wine from old jam should be clear. Carefully pour it into a bottle or a clean jar, leaving the sediment behind in the previous jar. 10. In the final stage, the wine should age for at least 2.5 months, always in a dark place. After this period, you can taste it. This wine can be stored even longer. Serve chilled.
