Viennese Easter
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Let's prepare Viennese Easter bread at home. You can bake it either in the oven or in a bread machine—the result will be practically the same. You can use any filling, but I prefer dried fruits with a little vanilla for aroma. Viennese Easter bread stays fresh for a long time, even when sliced, and doesn't become stale. Happy cooking! The pastry is ready. Serve it at the table.

It's time to add the sweet filling: vanilla, raisins, dried apricots, and lemon zest. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 5

Grease baking molds with butter and fill them 2/3 full with dough (let rise slightly). Bake in a preheated oven for 35–40 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick. For the glaze: add half a cup of sugar to 4 tablespoons of boiling milk, boil until thickened, then immediately cover the finished Easter bread with the glaze.
