Instructions

Step 1

Warm the milk until lukewarm and pour it into a bowl. Add the yeast, two tablespoons of flour, and one tablespoon of sugar. Mix slightly and let it sit in a warm place for fifteen minutes.
- 2
Step 2

When the mixture starts to foam, your sponge is ready. Melt the margarine in a double boiler and pour it into the sponge, then add the baking powder and sugar, and beat in the egg. Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk.
- 3
Step 3

Knead the dough. Roll it into a ball and place in a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a towel and let rise in a warm place for several hours. When the dough has doubled in size, it is ready for further use. Divide it into three equal parts.
- 4
Step 4

Roll out one of the portions into a thin layer. Place it into a baking pan, which should be previously lined with parchment paper to prevent the cake from sticking.
- 5
Step 5

For the filling, mix the jam with crushed nuts, raw chicken egg white, and chopped raisins in a bowl. If desired, you can add a little granulated sugar if you find the mixture is not sweet enough.
- 6
Step 6

Divide the filling into two equal parts. Place one part onto the rolled-out dough and spread it evenly. Then roll out another piece of dough and cover the filling with it. Place the remaining filling on top and cover with a third rolled-out piece of dough.
- 7
Step 7

Leave the resulting semi-finished product to rise for half an hour. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Bake the cake for twenty minutes until a golden crust appears.
- 8
Step 8

Remove the cake and let it cool slightly. Pour the chocolate glaze over the cake. To prepare the glaze, heat the cream on the stove and add chocolate broken into pieces. Place the finished cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to allow the glaze to set completely.
