Hungarian flatbread “Lángos”

Ideally suited for tea and coffee. The dough for langoshy can be mixed with a water‑and‑milk blend. It can also be made without egg. Try it and share your impressions. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

    Sift the flour, mix it with sugar, salt, and yeast. Pour in warm milk and add vegetable oil. Beat in an egg or make it without one. Quickly knead a tender, non‑overcooked dough. Let it rise until it doubles in volume.

    While the dough is rising, mix the sour cream with grated garlic and salt to taste. Grate a generous amount of cheese using a medium grater.

    Knead the risen dough and divide it into pieces about the size of a medium apple.

    Form the patties, prick them with a fork, and fry in heated oil under a lid over low heat.
