
Vegetarian Burger (Master Class)
Description
If you follow a vegetarian or non-strict fasting diet, these burgers may become some of your favorite snacks at work, at home, or on an outdoor trip. Chickpeas have a simply enormous number of beneficial properties. Undoubtedly, this is hearty and healthy food! I’ll explain below. They can be served warm or chilled.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. The photo shows only what we will need to make chickpea patties. Use any filling you like.

Cover the chickpeas with boiling water and let cool. Then rinse, cook until tender, and drain in a colander. Transfer to the blender bowl.

Process until smooth and transfer to a deep bowl.

Pour the oat flakes into the blender bowl.

Add grated carrot, onion diced into cubes, egg, and olive oil.

Puree everything to a smooth consistency.

Combine the oat mixture and ground chickpeas together. Add lemon juice, salt, and spices to taste.

Mix everything thoroughly.

Shape round patties from the resulting minced meat. From the specified amount of ingredients, I got exactly six.

Fry in vegetable oil on both sides over medium heat until golden brown.

When all the patties are ready, start assembling the burger. Cut the bun in half and toast it on a skillet or in a toaster. Place the chickpea patty on the bottom half.

On top — any filling you like. I used a slice of tomato.

A lettuce leaf and a little red onion.

And finally, slices of fresh cucumber…

Spread the second half of the bun with sweet mustard or any sauce to taste, and place it on top. A healthy, and most importantly, tasty vegetarian burger is ready!

Thanks to the vegetables, the burger turns out juicy, and the chickpea patty makes the snack more filling and nutritious!
