Prepare all the ingredients.

Mix the flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually start adding water, kneading the dough at the same time.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes, roll into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest at room temperature for half an hour.

Wash the potatoes, peel them, and boil in boiling water until cooked.

Cool the potatoes. Mash with a potato masher into a puree. Add finely chopped and fried onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3-4 mm. Use a glass to cut out circles. Place about 1 tsp of potato filling onto each circle. Fold the circle in half and pinch the edges to seal.

Next, you can simply boil the dumplings in salted boiling water for 7–9 minutes. Alternatively, fry them in a pan for 1–2 minutes, then pour in about 150 ml of hot water and cover with a lid. Cook the dumplings for 8–10 minutes until all the liquid has evaporated.
