
Dumplings with chicken and cabbage
Description
The filling for these dumplings can be prepared in various ways. In this recipe, we use Chinese cabbage and chicken. An unusual combination with boiled dough.

1. Prepare the dough. Bring half of the water to a boil, then let it cool slightly. Pour the water into sifted flour. Mix quickly. In the remaining warm water, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt. Add this mixture to the dough. Knead until the dough becomes clay-like. Gather the dough into a ball, place it in a bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rest for about thirty minutes.

2. Prepare the filling. Thinly slice the cabbage, place it in a bowl, add a little salt, and squeeze it with your hands. Peel the onion and finely chop it. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the onion. Add the Chinese cabbage and cook everything together until half-done.

3. Cut the meat into pieces (7x7 mm). Heat oil in another skillet and sauté the meat for about 3-4 minutes. Add cabbage to the meat and cook until done (under a closed lid). Season with pepper. Let the filling cool down.

4. Separate half of the dough. Keep the remaining dough covered with a towel. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 2-3 mm. Using a glass, cut out circles.

5. Bring water to a boil. Add salt when the water starts boiling. Shape the dumplings. Place the filling in the center of each dough circle, then seal the edges with a braid. Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface.

6. Place on a serving dish. Serve best hot with sour cream.
