Strawberry vareniki
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. When strawberries start ripening, many dishes featuring them appear on the table, and vareniki are probably the most delicious thing you can make from this berry. Almost everyone knows the recipe for strawberry vareniki, but I would like to focus on it once again—in case someone hasn't yet tried this tasty treat. As for the dough, it's the simplest possible, and there shouldn't be any difficulties otherwise either. The only thing you need to decide is how exactly you'll make the strawberry vareniki at home, since they can be boiled in water or cooked by steaming. The finished dish can then be served at the table.

Step 1

First, crack an egg into a bowl, add salt to it, and mix well. Then pour in the sour milk and stir everything once again.
- 2
Step 2

After that, add the baking soda, start adding the flour, and begin kneading the dough. Do this very thoroughly so that the dough becomes soft and elastic and does not stick to your hands.
- 3
Step 3

Cover the finished dough with a towel and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Meanwhile, we can prepare the filling: rinse the strawberries and cut them into small pieces.
- 5
Step 5

After 15 minutes, when the dough has rested, place it on a floured surface. Divide the dough into several portions and shape each into a long sausage.
- 6
Step 6

Cut the sausage into several pieces.
- 7
Step 7

Coat each piece in flour and flatten with your fingers.
- 8
Step 8

Place a little sugar in the center of the dough circles and arrange sliced strawberries on top.
- 9
Step 9

Join the edges of the dough, shaping the dumpling.

Step 10

If you've decided to cook dumplings by steaming, you'll need a special steaming rack; however, you can also make them in a multicooker. I usually pour water into a pot, and once it boils, I place the rack on top of the pot, then cook the dumplings covered for 5-7 minutes.
