Dumplings with mushrooms
Description
I used frozen wild mushrooms for the filling, but you can use any fresh, dried, or even marinated mushrooms. These dumplings can be served not only with sour cream but also with mayonnaise, mustard, or adjika. Despite the recipe's apparent simplicity, the result is incredibly delicious. Be sure to treat your loved ones to this tasty delight!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients from the list. If you are using frozen mushrooms, let them thaw at room temperature beforehand.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep bowl, combine the egg, water, and salt. Mix well.
- 3
Step 3

Add the flour in parts. The amount of flour may be slightly more or less than indicated in the recipe. Rely on the dough consistency.
- 4
Step 4

The finished dough should be firm and elastic, yet tender and not sticky to the hands. Shape it into a ball, cover with a towel, and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Grind the mushrooms through a meat grinder or chop them in a blender.
- 6
Step 6

In a skillet, melt the butter, add the onion cut into small cubes, and sauté until soft.
- 7
Step 7

Add the chopped mushrooms, salt, and ground pepper to taste. Mix and fry for 15-20 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

Cut off a piece of dough, roll it into a sausage shape, and cut it into small pieces.
- 9
Step 9

Roll each piece in flour on both sides and roll out into a circle. Place the filling in the center and shape the dumplings in any way convenient for you.
- 10
Step 10

Prepare dumplings with the remaining dough in the same way. To cook the dumplings, take a sufficiently spacious pot and fill it two-thirds full with water. Lightly salt the water and bring it to a boil. Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and stir gently with a spoon or a slotted spoon. Once they float to the surface, slightly reduce the heat and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Step 11

The dumplings with mushrooms are ready.
