
Sliced Apple Jam

If you want the slices to keep their shape in the jam, choose fairly firm, hard apples and rinse them under water.

Now we core the apples and cut them into small wedges.

For this amount of apples, you will need 400 grams of sugar.

Take any deep dish and start arranging the apples in it, sprinkling each layer with sugar.

Now set the bowl with apples aside for a few hours; we need to wait until the sugar has fully dissolved and the apples release their juice.

As soon as this happens, transfer the apples to a saucepan and place it over the heat. Stirring, bring the liquid to a boil, then immediately remove from the heat and let the jam cool slightly.

Then put it back on the heat, bring to a boil, remove from the heat, and repeat this 3–4 times. Spoon the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal them; store the jam in a cool place.
