Apple Slice Jam
Description
A simple way to make preserves ahead of time. This is a classic recipe for jam from sliced “Belyi Naliv” apples. The jam turns out quite thick, so it works well as a filling for all kinds of pies, buns, sponge rolls, and more. This recipe uses less sugar than usual because my apples were already very sweet. Good luck with your cooking. Store in a cool, dark place.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the apples. Wash them thoroughly.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the apples into large wedges, removing the core and seeds. Transfer the apples to a cooking pot (I use a kazan). Sprinkle sugar on top and leave overnight.

Step 3

In the morning, place the container with apples over high heat, bring to a boil, and cook for another 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool. Then repeat the same procedure two more times. The jam will darken and thicken, turning amber in color.

Step 4

Spread the finished jam into sterilized jars and seal with lids. Turn the jars upside down until completely cooled.

Step 5

The preparation is ready. Store in a cool place.
