Apple jam
Description
A canning recipe without unnecessary fuss. I’ll go into more detail below. Jars keep for up to a year stored in a cool place.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the apples thoroughly, pat them dry, and remove the cores. If you like, peel them. Cut the apples into slices of even thickness.
- 3
Step 3

Transfer the prepared apples to a heavy-bottomed saucepan and sprinkle with sugar. Stir gently and let stand for 1–2 hours, until the apples release their juice and the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 4
Step 4

Then bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.
- 5
Step 5

Remove the pot from the heat and leave the apples to infuse in the sugar syrup for 12 hours.
- 6
Step 6

Then return the pot to the stove and repeat the previous step 2 more times. On the last round of cooking, add lemon juice.
- 7
Step 7

Transfer the hot jam into a clean sterilized jar and seal tightly. “White Transparent” apple jam is ready — enjoy your meal!
