Description

Homemade preserves keep for a long time. I think it wouldn’t hurt to add a little variety to our preserves and make something unusual and tasty. This simple Georgian-style grape jam recipe is perfect for that. This jam has an amazing soft flavor and a pleasant golden color; in winter, this treat will undoubtedly lift your spirits and warm you from the inside. For this Georgian-style grape jam recipe, any seedless grape varieties will do; the only thing you should adjust here is the amount of sugar, because if the berries are sweet and you add a lot of sugar, the jam will turn out cloyingly sweet. For example, when I get grapes that are too sweet, I add a little citric acid and lemon juice to the jam, and you get a very interesting flavor. So don’t be afraid to experiment and tweak the recipe a little, because you’re making this jam for yourself. 1) First, separate the berries from the stems and wash the grapes under cold water. 2) Then boil a syrup from water and sugar and pour it over the grapes while it’s hot; leave the berries to steep for half an hour. 3) When the time is up, put the container with the grapes and syrup over low heat and cook the jam until fully done, stirring it from time to time. 4) It should be thick enough, and the berries should stay whole. Remove the jam from the heat, divide it among sterilized jars, and seal with lids. Our jam is ready; we put it away in a cool, dark place for storage, and in winter the whole family enjoys this excellent treat. The preserve is ready for winter storage.
