Plum jam in syrup
Description
To make plum jam in syrup, follow these instructions: 1. Choose fresh plums. The softer the plums, the sweeter the jam will be. 2. Wash the plums in cold water. Remove the pits. You can push the pits out with a pencil, or split the plums in half and remove the pits by hand. 3. Now prepare the syrup. In this case, it's water with sugar. Pour water into a saucepan, add sugar, bring the syrup to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10–15 minutes. 4. Add the plums to the syrup. Bring to a boil and cook for about half an hour. If desired, you can boil the plums separately, blend them into a puree, and then add the puree to the syrup. 5. Let the jam cool down, then it's ready to be sealed in jars or served. 6. If sealing the jam in jars, store them in a cool, dark place away from sunlight.
