Rowan Jam in a Multicooker
Description
Winter preserve made at home. 1. When you open a jar of rowanberry jam in winter, you immediately forget how hard it was to gather. It is best to pick the berries right after frost — then the treat will be more aromatic, and the berries themselves will cook better. 2. I usually soak the rowanberries overnight in cold water. In the morning I drain the water and put the rowanberries in the slow cooker. 3. Add sugar and turn on the "Jam" or "Preserve" mode. For me this cooking process takes no more than 1.5 hours. 4. Periodically press "Pause" and check the consistency, gently stirring the jam. 5. When the treat is ready, pour it into sterilized jars and seal them. If you like, you can close them with a screw-on plastic lid and put the jars in the refrigerator. That is all — our rowanberry jam in the slow cooker at home is ready. Store in a cool, dark place.
