Description

If you are the happy owner of a multicooker, you probably already know that this appliance handles any task wonderfully, and cooking in it is a real pleasure. This applies not only to everyday dishes but also to preserves, and since berry season is just around the corner, I want to tell you how to make raspberry jam in a multicooker. Everything here is very simple, just as when cooking on the stove, but with a multicooker you do not have to worry about the jam boiling over or burning—the appliance will make sure you spend minimal effort and time in the cooking process. It is really very convenient, and the result will pleasantly surprise you, because this jam turns out incredibly delicious, and the berries stay whole and do not fall apart. Making preserves will no longer seem like such a routine, heavy chore, because now you can easily make raspberry jam in a multicooker at home. Store in a cool, dark place.

Instructions

    Step 1

Let's start by making the sugar syrup. Select the "Multi-Cook" mode on the multicooker and set the temperature to 160–170 degrees. Pour the sugar into the bowl and add water; cook this mixture until the sugar granules are completely dissolved and the syrup thickens. Then turn off the multicooker and wait for the syrup to cool.

While the syrup cools, we thoroughly rinse the berries. Pour a liter of water into a bowl and add salt, mixing everything together. Place the raspberries in a colander and submerge the berries in the salt solution for about 10 minutes. Then rinse the raspberries again and spread them on a towel to dry.

When the syrup has cooled, add the raspberries to a bowl, mix everything together, and let the mixture steep for one hour.

Then turn the slow cooker on again and cook the jam at the same temperature for 25 minutes. At the end, add the citric acid, mix everything well, and spoon the finished jam into sterilized jars. You can leave some of the jam unsealed and eat it right away—it turns out so delicious that it won’t sit around for long.
