Raspberry 5-Minute Jam
Description
Perfect for winter preserves. This simple raspberry jam stands out with its distinctive aroma and bright, fresh flavor. Such jam is always useful to have at home, as it is not only a great treat but also a high-quality natural antibiotic. Using the same principle, you can preserve other berries for winter as well—quickly and without compromising on taste. Keep this recipe handy. Serve at the table or store in the pantry.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the raspberries for jam. Sort through the berries and remove the stems. I use homegrown raspberries and don’t wash them. For store-bought berries, it’s best to put them in a colander, rinse gently, pat dry, and spread them on a paper towel.

Step 2

Transfer the prepared raspberries to the container in which you will cook the jam, sprinkling each layer with sugar.
- 3
Step 3

The top layer should be sugar.
- 4
Step 4

Cover the raspberries with cheesecloth or a lid and leave for 3–4 hours so they release their juice. When the raspberries have released their juice, proceed to making the jam.
- 5
Step 5

Place the raspberries over low heat and wait until the granulated sugar has completely dissolved.
- 6
Step 6

Then, stirring gently, skim off the foam.
- 7
Step 7

Bring the jam to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Raspberry 5-minute jam is ready.
- 8
Step 8

By that time, the jars and lids should be sterilized using any method convenient for you and thoroughly dried.
- 9
Step 9

Pour the hot raspberry jam into jars and screw on the lids.
- 10
Step 10

Leave the jam under a blanket until it has completely cooled, then move it to a cool place for storage.
