Strawberry jam with jelly
Description
Perfect for winter preserves. Sort through the strawberries and rinse them. Mix the sugar with the gelling agent, sprinkle the strawberries with the mixture, and start cooking. Then pour the jelly jam into sterile jars. Serve at the table or store in the pantry.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash and sort the strawberries.
- 2
Step 2

Measure out 1 kg of sugar. Add a packet of Zhelfix to the sugar and mix.
- 3
Step 3

Mix the sugar mixture with the strawberries.
- 4
Step 4

Place the container with strawberries over heat. Cook over medium heat. The strawberries will release juice almost immediately. Stir gently, trying not to crush the berries. Once the sugar has dissolved, cook until it comes to a boil.
- 5
Step 5

When the jam comes to a boil, cook for another 5 minutes. Turn off.
- 6
Step 6

Remove the foam that has formed. Divide the jam among sterile jars. Seal the jars. Turn the closed jars upside down. Wrap them and let cool.
- 7
Step 7

The preserve will cool and set. It won't be as thick as jam, but it cooks very quickly and is thick enough. Whole berry pieces are especially nice.
