Kiwi jam without gelatin
Description
Homemade preserves keep for a long time. Let’s make kiwi jam step by step: 1. Rinse the kiwifruit under cold running water. Peel it with a knife and cut into small pieces. 2. To draw the juice out of the kiwifruit, toss it with sugar, mix, and let it release its juice. This may take 15–20 minutes. If your kiwifruit is soft and very sweet on its own, it’s better to reduce the amount of sugar, or the jam will end up too sweet. 3. Pour water into a saucepan and add the kiwifruit. If you prefer a thicker jam, one cup of water is enough. 4. Set the saucepan over low heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Let the future jam boil for 2–3 minutes. 5. After 30 minutes, bring the jam to a boil again, reduce the heat to low, and leave it for 5 minutes. Repeat this step once more. 6. Let the finished jam cool and serve. This is the simplest recipe for kiwifruit jam without gelatin; all you need to do is turn the stove on and off in time. Store in a cool, dark place.
