Description

Homemade preserves keep for a long time. Zucchini jam with oranges is a very interesting combination of vegetables and fruit. Try making it at home and you will be surprised—you have probably never eaten zucchini like this before. Serve it at the table or store it in the pantry.

Instructions

    1. The recipe for making zucchini jam with oranges is quite simple. First, wash the zucchini thoroughly and peel them. Cut into very thin, small slices and place in a jam-making container (a wide basin, for example). Wash the lemon and scald it with boiling water. Then dry it and grate a little zest. Cut the lemon itself, remove the seeds, and put it in a blender or meat grinder. Add the resulting lemon pulp to the zucchini.

    2. Wash the oranges and pour boiling water over them as well. Cut into thin slices, removing the seeds. If desired, you can peel the oranges and add only the pulp to the jam.

    3. Carefully sprinkle in the sugar (use the same amount of sugar as zucchini). Set everything aside for 6–8 hours so the oranges and zucchini release enough juice. You can even leave it overnight.

    4. After a while, when there is enough juice, stir and return the jam to the heat. When it comes to a boil, turn the heat to minimum. Stir periodically.
