Yellow Plum Jam
Description
A homemade winter preserve. The amount of sugar in this yellow plum jam recipe may vary depending on how sweet the fruit is. If the jam does not thicken well while cooking, you can add pectin, for example. Very appetizing, sweet, and natural—just the thing with tea for the whole family.
Instructions

Step 1

1. The cooking process will take two days in total. On the first day, wash the plums thoroughly under running water.

Step 2

2. Then cut in half, carefully removing the pits. It is best to use fruit that is not too overripe, so that homemade yellow plum jam will keep the slices intact during cooking. Next, arrange the fruit, sprinkle with sugar, and leave overnight.

Step 3

3. By morning there will be enough juice. If the plums are not very juicy, add a little water before boiling. Now you can put the fruit in syrup on the heat.

Step 4

4. At the same time, sterilize and dry the jars. Small jars work best.
- 5
Step 5

5. The jam should come to a boil. Then reduce the heat as much as possible (you can place a heat diffuser on the burner) and simmer the jam gently.

Step 6

6. This is a very simple way to make jam from yellow plums. If you like, add a pinch of spices for extra aroma. When the mixture is thick enough, pour the hot jam into jars.

Step 7

7. Seal the jars and let them cool upside down. Store the jam in the refrigerator or in a dark, cool place.
