Walnut Jam
Description
A winter preserve made at home. Of course, you don’t often need to make this walnut jam at home—it turns out far too concentrated. On the other hand, it’s a wonderful sauce for dishes. This cream will soften an overly sweet dessert, while its light sweetness will complement meat and fish dishes. A versatile jam—give it a try. Store in a cool, dark place.

Step 1

1. Nut confiture is easy to make. In a blender or coffee grinder, grind everything except the honey and lemon.

Step 2

2. As for the basil leaves, I pour boiling water over them first — this slightly tones down the characteristic bitterness. But if your basil is young and not very fragrant, you can skip this step.

Step 3

3. Mix the honey and lemon juice together until smooth, then gradually add them to the ground mixture. This way you control the consistency to your liking. Good luck!
