Description

Winter preserve at home. To make wild pear jam at home, follow the recipe: 1. Wash the wild pears in cold running water. 2. Peel the pears with a knife. 3. Remove the cores from the fruit. 4. Cut them into cubes. 5. Boil the pear pieces in cold water. Cook until the pears are soft. 6. Drain the cooked fruit in a colander and take 500 milliliters of the cooking liquid that remains. 7. Make syrup from this liquid and sugar. Add sugar to the saucepan with the liquid and boil until foam appears. When foam appears, the syrup is ready. 8. Add the softened pear slices to the ready syrup. Cook the fruit 2–3 times with 15-minute cooling breaks between sessions. 9. Repeat the previous step 3 times every 24 hours. Between cooking sessions, cover the bowl with a lid and leave it at room temperature. 10. After the final cooking, the jam is ready—it can be served at the table or sealed in jars. Store in a cool, dark place.
